Sandy Open Day........

K......I guess this topic was not expected from me but what to do? You give the Average BMM student some time off and this is/should be what to expect.

The Open Day........hmmm......wasnt great for one......but wasnt too bad either. The fair bit of teeny-weeny cleaning and decking-up did make some magic as the dirt in all the nooks and crannies of the hostel was shoveled by many a hand, Including mine.

Once the Open Day, 'opened' as usual it was the FYBMM crowd who got in first. St. Andrews House saw a host of interested visitors in the form of Sili, Vishaal, Karan, Aparna, Nehal 'nautanki' and Supraket Meshram. It appeared to me as if they were waiting just to get a glimpse of the blessed interiors for the first time and in the process come across some hot hosteliers too......(the latter with particular reference to the Gals). Anyways the 'Cheap' BMM did get to come across a few sensational scenes, one of which was them catching Neeraj 'The Loverboy' Krishnan putting on his Lungi, which he later slowly but surely did within the confines of a third floor washroom.

An hour in passing saw the likes of people i've rarely met and encountered pass by my room, which in the beginning made me look at it as an invasion of piracy, but for the Heck of It All..........Atleast they didnt catch me dressing up!!!! Two hours later. I was sick and tired of acting host to the pleasant few who did manage to take a look inside my room and decided to join Arnesh 'Champu' Ghose and Neeraj 'Loverboy' Krishnan in offering their services to their visitors. That saw me consuming large portions of their food supplies too, but who cares.......Keep your hearts open as its 'Open Day'!!!!

Fed up of the insane fusion of Cookies and Banana Chips in their room, i decided to go further down the corridor to the humble quarters of one, Mr. Elvis J. Shemain, The General Secretary of St. Andrews House. The room was indeed welcoming and was i mus say Visually appealing. A few Bajra cookies and Lays chips later, i was busy playing with The G. Sec.'s MP3 Player, and was also in conversation with TY Literature students Supriya Singh and Siddarth Bhatt along with Fellow BMMite Supraket 'NC' Meshram......The middle name being included for obvious reasons.

OOOh........how could i forget the time spent with the many girls from PRH, who splendidly graced the occassion with their presence. Heena, Harshita, Rashmi, Nikita...........man! the list is endless. And ya, a public Thank You to Feba also for offering me a piece of chocolate. t'was very nice of you. But it was a different thing that my stomach was longing for the heap of Orange Chinese Fried Rice and Cabbage Manchurian the day's dinner would offer.

All said and done, I really love my Hostel, and being in a very senti mood, the only thing i can say is...............................'Sandies Forever'

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey Everyone..............Christmas is here........I know its gonna be a hell lotta fun for everyone. As you sit in your living room decorated with silvery garlands and random christmas miniatures all around the place. As you look around, a moderately tall christmas tree greets your eye froma salient corner of the room. You admire its beauty and recollect the multifold moments of stress you put into setting it up. Then in the opposite corner, you simply can't lift your eyes off the crib where Joseph and Mary tend to their little infant Jesus. Its all Perfect. And you simply cant stop praising yourself for the decorations.

Well That's what i would do every year , but this year i'm doin something totally different. I am in a hostel filled with boys, mostly christian, and am sitting in front of my laptop, typing away to glory. I gaze at my room in dreadful assuredness. Aahh........The plain, blue-coloured walls surround me, while I toast to my dear friend Neeraj Krishnan, with fresh-cold water, right out of the hostel cooler. Its all Perfect here too. Im listening to christmas carols, mind it, im listening to the same ones I used to listen to in salalah, just trying to assume that festive mood. Man, i still remember the detail going into decorating that crib at christmas. how Dad bought sand from the beach, how onu spent hours at setting the contours right, and how mom gave orders of shifting the furniture, from one end to the other.

Im not going to be at home this christmas, I know. But i am definitely going to enjoy it and take in the festive mood, even if I have to celebrate with my hostel mates.
