Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey Everyone..............Christmas is here........I know its gonna be a hell lotta fun for everyone. As you sit in your living room decorated with silvery garlands and random christmas miniatures all around the place. As you look around, a moderately tall christmas tree greets your eye froma salient corner of the room. You admire its beauty and recollect the multifold moments of stress you put into setting it up. Then in the opposite corner, you simply can't lift your eyes off the crib where Joseph and Mary tend to their little infant Jesus. Its all Perfect. And you simply cant stop praising yourself for the decorations.

Well That's what i would do every year , but this year i'm doin something totally different. I am in a hostel filled with boys, mostly christian, and am sitting in front of my laptop, typing away to glory. I gaze at my room in dreadful assuredness. Aahh........The plain, blue-coloured walls surround me, while I toast to my dear friend Neeraj Krishnan, with fresh-cold water, right out of the hostel cooler. Its all Perfect here too. Im listening to christmas carols, mind it, im listening to the same ones I used to listen to in salalah, just trying to assume that festive mood. Man, i still remember the detail going into decorating that crib at christmas. how Dad bought sand from the beach, how onu spent hours at setting the contours right, and how mom gave orders of shifting the furniture, from one end to the other.

Im not going to be at home this christmas, I know. But i am definitely going to enjoy it and take in the festive mood, even if I have to celebrate with my hostel mates.

What the Fuck??

Mumbai, the city of Dreams, and Success...............currently turning into a waterhole for Nightmares and Failure. They Call us the Youth of The Country, and according to what I've come to know, the terrorists wer also youth in their early 20's. What the Fuck man!! a few bombs blasted approximately 4 kilometres from where I stay, and two terrorists were killed at just a 5 minutes walk from my hostel. Fear comes in front of my face, and I just stare. Not knowing how many have already succumbed to it.

People call me a BMM student, and expect me to change the world with my means. while I see a few Ex-BMM reporters and presenters on television heightening the fear already building in the common man's mind.

The Nation has recieved a couple of shots in its arm already and will continue to do so. The best thing here is that we don't have anyone to blame. the Politicians?? Who has elected them? The Voters? who corrupts their mind? The Media People? Who said money was the only lever to run a soul in a society???

Seasons In The Sun....

K.....i might get a bit emotional here..........but a few days left on the calendar reminds me once again, that its time.........time to rush back into fast motion.......time to catch a plane to mumbai........time to arrive at my second-home..........time to Leave Salalah......

I must say, have had a good time these past few days........I got to catch hold of some sleep i was missing............got the confidence to work-out in a gym without any of the equipment conking off (K....ther was one machine which creaked but i dont consider that as damage) (hav ta give it up to my elder sis here, it takes awesme courage to drag 125 kgs of flesh and bones to the gym)...........ther was also the times when me and my leisure deprived frens caught up for some dukes-time.......courtesy: Jeet Asher with a li'l help from Ahtisham Arshad Siddiqui. I've also managed to drag the whole lot of beach-frendly aunts and uncles to the beach......with much thanks to Eric Uncle.......The star of the Show.

Now...final farewwells await............Muscat and Mumbai Intl. Airports call out.........Arnesh and Neeraj await their stock of Phoren-maal (god knows where the two devilish souls are).........Sudu awaits his middle east NRIs...........Sam awaits his sandies...............

and yes through it all...........I begin my countdown for the summer vacs '09.......!

Load Shedding.........

Hmmmm..........kind of happy today.......In fact, never was so happy since i joined WILSON'S BMM (Yes....It's what I like to call Bandhutva Mukti Morcha for specific reasons). And yes, they do have specific reasons to them. Both my presentations, sudu's and reena's, have managed to fare pretty well(And I'm NOT fibbing......well, maybe I am....but who cares? I like It :))

Sudu ka docu well, theek gaya, par I personally thought I was gonna get screwed, KING-SIZe types. PAr response theek-thak mila (thik-thak in BMM means, and IS very Good for me) aur I was quite happy with my team, (Royston, Nehal, Vishaal, Sukriti, Joy and yah......(blink,blink).....ME!) Sudu still did manage to team-screw us with his questions. (Yaar........woh itna kahaan bharta hai??)

Reena ke maamle me thodi samajhdari barakni padi, (forgive my NRI-hindi) par overall mein haal thoda toh bemisaal tha hi. Meri team ka to kya kehna? Neeraj and Heena did quite a good job, and for the 1st time in presentations, I took a back-seat. Ma'am ko jo chahiye tha, so hamne diya............aur ma'am aur sawaal puchke apna Sunday-mood kyun kharaab karna chahegi?

Frends.....

I thought coming to Mumbai would help me make a lot more friends of the trustable kind. But I don't know why but my mind simply can't accept a lot of vibes from a lotta people?? But maybe its because i've grown up in an environment where i've had the same grup of frends, the same seniors, and yes, of course................the same school.

But even in that case, my soul has gelled up pretty well with a select few. Consisting, of course, primarily, of my hostel mates (My Lifeline), a handful of the opposite sex (coz calling them "gurl-frends" dosent make justice) and yes a good lot of in-class-same-mindset male frends. I wanted to have sum more, but I guess a lot of frns puts u in a muddle..... But I should say, the few frens tht I've made too can be really counted upon and i can seem to put a specified amt. of trust in them.

But Besides that, I'm kind of waiting to return to salalah and click with my old cliche.......for old times sake.............! :)

Life in fast-forward-SUDU time...........

Times these days, hv gone soooo fast. Most of them, somehow or the other depend on sudu's lectures. Either he gives one today, or makes up for the lack of time tomoro. It is simply a matter of attendance for some. Whereas, on the other hand its a question of innumerable pages of notes and yes.....................HANDOUTS for someone else. Guess one of these days sudu, is gonna walk in with a cylindrical weapon and gonna fire handouts to evry corner of the class.

But, yes....tht remains only a by-product of my simply overactive 5 kgs of mental clay. But, Damn....thts why Wilson's BMM is ranked 2nd in mumbai and 5th all-over India. Thats why we can feel proud,.............THAT is why we praise Sudu, and attend if not all, well..........(atleast most of his lectures) for the sheer pleasure of some well-earned sudu-time.

Thats it from a WILSON BMM student who loves his college, hates its security, and loves some of his lecturers EVEN MORE................All I can MAnAGE to say now is, ............ HAIL POLARIS '09!!! (*ChUcKlE*) ;)

Hah........That was the WCNC Nature Trek i went for, though it was abt. two weeks back, memories keep rushing back when I look at the Pics..........and the damned Action Shoes!!!! I mean it was indeed exhaustive, both in terms of the distance covered, and in terms of my knowledge about nature.........SSR, of course, stole the show and had something interesting to say about each and every speciality of flowers and trees. All In All it was simply awesome. But I'd Kinda Like to refrain from these treks for about 3 months now........ ;)
